HISTORY

The origins of KennisTranslations lie in the company 100 Folhas - Produções Culturais e Consultoria, which was founded in the year 2000 by two sisters, Anna and Luisa Yokochi. In 2009, after almost a decade of providing translation services of recognised quality, Ana and Luisa began to implement a strategy involving the expansion and internationalisation of their business. As a result, KennisTranslations merged with the KennisGuild group and was subsequently rebranded KennisTranslations. 

In addition to expanding and internationalising a company, KennisTranslations was founded on a strong belief in the need for a new business model in the translation area. For this reason, we are intending to equip freelance translators with the means and resources necessary to develop work of recognized quality and a business which can grow in proportion to their performance and involvement.
