Interpreting and event organisation

The verbal transposition of the spoken word from one language to another presents multifaceted challenges: whether it be in court, in a business meeting, or attending seminars, video conferences or international conferences, our experienced and qualified interpreters will support you in one or several working languages. KennisTranslations can provide the following interpreting services in the majority of the common language combinations:

 Simultaneous interpreting

Interpreting speakers in real-time. Two or three interpreters work in a soundproof booth; the result is transmitted to the listeners in the room at the speed at which the discourse is delivered through headphones. The ideal option for meetings with large numbers of participants where time management and the pace of the event is essential.

 Consecutive interpreting

Interpreting a speaker "in sequence". The interpreter listens to the discourse near the speaker and takes notes in order to interpret the speech into another language. Normally, one interpreter is sufficient for a language pair. This option is suitable for small groups or brief speeches, such as press conferences or official receptions.

 Liaison interpreting

Ad-hoc interpreting within the context of small groups, without technical equipment and without the taking of notes, for example, during meetings between business partners. This type of interpreting is suited to events involving binding agreements (marriages, contract signings, courts etc), as well as interviews or factory visits.

 Whispered interpreting

Simultaneous interpreting without a booth or technical equipment for one or two listeners or using portable interpreting equipment without the use of a booth. For situations in which only a small number of participants do not understand the working language of the event.

 Online interpreting at telephone conferences

Consecutive interpreting in virtual conference rooms for facilitating communication between people who, besides not speaking the same language, are geographically far apart. We make virtual conference rooms available with interpreting services or we provide interpreting services at telephone conferences for clients who wish to use their own infrastructure.
